Biography
Jacques C. Védrine was born in Lyon, France. He received a chemical engineering degree in 1962 from the “Ecole Supérieure de Chimie Industrielle de Lyon†(now CPE Lyon). He received his PhD degree in 1968 from the University of Lyon. In 1988 he became deputy director of IRC up to 1998. and 1998 he moved to the University of Liverpool in the UK as Professor of the Chemistry Department, Deputy Director of the “Leverhulme Centre for Innovative Catalysis (LCIC)†He moved back to France in 2003 and joined the “Laboratoire de Réactivité de Surface de l’Université Pierre et Marie Curieâ€, where he is working currently. He has expertise in heterogeneous catalysis and physical techniques of characterization and has been expert in many national and international agencies, industries and chemical societies (EFCATS, SFC).
